Situated in the northern part of Burgenland, in the extreme east of the country, in a region called “Seewinkel” close to the Hungarian border. The wines from Zantho are made in cooperation with the Umathum winery. Josef Umathum guarantees the high quality of the grapes and is responsible for management in the vineyards. Wolfgang Peck, Managing Director of Winzerkeller Andau is incharge of the winemaking. Together, they cultivate 70 ha of vineyards.

This is a typical style of the region and is made up of Riesling and Pinot Blanc, the nose is full and rich, with passion fruit, pineapple and caramelized apricots. The botrytis affected grapes give the wine its viscous texture and soft honey tones. Although the wine is sweet, the blending of riesling and pinot blanc balance the wine with an exceptional acidity.
